Star Trek 40th Anniversary.
I guess that would have made me 5 years old when my parents wouldn’t let me stay up to watch it. I can remember trying to be really quiet and hope they would forget I was still awake. This worked a few times and I was pretty excited that I got to see “lifelike” aliens and spaceships. I’m sure I never understood the shows subtle political comments on our 60’s society, but they did have phasers and photon torpedoes.
I’ve enjoyed all spin-offs but am now just as happy to see Capt. James T. Kirk on Boston Legal.
