Should we be suspicious of Muslims?

I am suspicious. And I believe with good cause. The midwest saw 2 recent air travel incidents with terrorist suspicions at their root.

I suspect we will all hear about the 6 Imams who were pulled off a flight for the suspicious activity of saying evening prayers. The infamous Council on American Islamic Relations has already been called. We won’t hear the end of it for awhile. And I just heard it on KGMI, so the news has hit Bellingham.

But will we hear with the same vigor, the story about the suspicious man that was picked up at a Detroit airport and then almost released from jail after being charged for currency smuggling. I don’t know if he is Muslim, but he is an Ethiopian born US citizen so he may visually fit the terrorist profile better than an old white granny..

Your reading this and saying, so what.  Well here goes the so what.

The Detroit guy was also carrying, articles about nuclear plants and suitcase bombs, a 9/11 commemorative newspaper, a total of $98,000 cash, unidentified suspicious information on a laptop, and a hand written note saying, “This community is angry. Something is going to happen. We are going to see justice. This is a powder keg waiting to go off.”

I think we should all be suspicious, very suspicious. And if the 6 Imams are inconvenienced, too bad.
