One of President Obama’s major campaigning points was that he was “the only major candidate who supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.” Yet even with our nation’s National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan requiring direct involvement by our President, he apparently won’t sit down with the head of BP who is working to stop the spill.
