The Fast and Furious scandal is turning into President Obama’s Watergate – Telegraph Blogs

Thursday, June 21st, 2012

Fast and furious hasn’t been discussed a lot in the mainstream media, which is why the facts can seem so preposterous when you read them for the first time. But the story is slowly unraveling and the public is catching up with the madness.

I found this to be a pretty good synopsis of the whole Eric Holder, President Obama, Fast and Furious scandal so I wanted to share it.  My two cents on this issue begins with it being so difficult for me to believe that both our Attorney General and President could be this stupid that I can only conclude that they had ulterior motives.  And my two cents ends with wondering why so many are calling this a partisan issue because only Republican’s are calling for a deeper investigation, when the real partisan issue is why are Democrats not calling for further investigation in to a situation that has already cost one Border Patrol agent his life.

Local global warming research

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

I think I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Why won’t local media report the research of our own Don J. Easterbrook? Is it anti-Bellingham? Is it anti-Whatcom? Is it anti-WWU? Perhaps it is if you consider the state of local politics, but it is also sound thinking by a local professor on a subject that Former Vice President Al Gore, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), most Democrats and mainstream media say is one of the most important issues facing the world today. Global Warming!

I have a vague recollection of a blurb somewhere announcing that Professor Easterbrook was going to speak at the NW Business club a few weeks ago. I worked and didn’t go the May 9th presentation, but I really did expect to read something about it in the news. I still haven’t seen any follow up stories. Where is the big front page article? Is there no room for facts and sound science in political arena of global warming?

Perhaps someone who attended the NW Business Club meeting could write to the Herald? Perhaps someone who attended could write a story for the Herald? Perhaps someone who attended could email me their thoughts regarding his presentation and I’ll post it here.

Or you could just spread the word about his research that is generously available on his website Don J. Easterbrook.
